Privacy Policy

1. Who this covers
This policy explains what information Evergreen Holding Company USA LLC (operating CylinderSpot, cylinderspot.com – "we", "us") collects and how it is used.
2. What we collect
- Quote requests: your email address, name and company (if given), what you're looking for, and the delivery address and zip code you enter.
- Supplier information: contact details submitted when claiming a listing or sending a quote (company, contact name, email, phone).
- Contact details you give us about others: if you invite a supplier by email, we collect the address and name you type in so we can send that invitation on your behalf. If a buyer gave us your contact details to send you an invitation, you can contact us at info@cylinderspot.com with questions or to ask us not to email you again.
- Activity on the service: messages sent through the site, ratings, and records of the emails we send you.
- Technical basics: our hosting provider processes standard connection information (such as IP addresses) in its request logs; we use it for security and rate limiting, not for advertising.
3. Where supplier listings come from
Our directory is compiled from publicly available sources, such as suppliers' own websites, together with information suppliers provide directly. If a listing describes your business and you want it corrected or removed, contact us at info@cylinderspot.com and we will review it; we correct or remove listings when a request is well founded.
4. How we use information
We use the information above to run the marketplace: passing your request to suppliers so they can quote, delivering quotes and order updates, sending the transactional emails that make the service work, keeping the site safe, and meeting legal obligations. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
What suppliers see: when you send a request, the suppliers you send it to see your company name, the delivery city and ZIP code, the gases, amounts and dates you ask for, and any notes you write for suppliers. They do not see your street address or your company's contact name, email or phone. Only when you accept a supplier's quote does that one supplier also see the delivery street address and your company's contact name, email and phone, so it can arrange delivery. Messages you send a supplier are shown to it exactly as you type them.
5. Service providers
Like most online services, we rely on a small number of providers to operate: Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (website hosting), Resend (email delivery), PostHog (product analytics), and Sentry (error monitoring). We engage them under terms that limit their use of the data to providing those services to us. Vercel provides basic site-traffic statistics without cookies. PostHog records how the site is used, including pages viewed, clicks, navigation, and visible page content during a visit. Text you enter into standard form fields is masked out of these recordings, but other visible content may be captured. This data is transmitted to and stored by PostHog in the United States. When something on the site breaks, Sentry receives a technical report about the error, such as the error message, the page address and the browser type. We remove the private codes in sign-in, invitation, quote and similar links from page addresses before anything is sent to PostHog or Sentry. We may use a mapping or geocoding provider to locate delivery addresses. Information may also be disclosed if the law requires it.
6. Cookies
We use cookies the site needs to function (keeping you signed in, remembering an in-progress quote, and administration), and analytics cookies from PostHog that set a persistent identifier to recognize your browser across visits and help us understand how the site is used; see the Service providers section above for what PostHog records. We do not use advertising cookies.
7. Keeping information, and your choices
We keep information for as long as it is needed to run the service, including records of quote requests, orders, and the emails we have sent. If a company account is closed, we delete its people's sign-ins and wipe the contact details stored on the account and on its quotes and orders. We keep the business records: past requests, quotes, orders, messages as written, and our record of emails already sent, because the other businesses in those deals keep their records too. If you have questions about the information we hold about you, contact us at info@cylinderspot.com.
8. Children
CylinderSpot is a business service and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
9. Changes
We may update this policy; changes take effect when posted here. If we change what we collect, this page will be updated to say so.
